Our Story
In the beginning there was Henry Lee’s: The cafe.
Our story is simple – we wanted to create the kind of cafe we’d be happy to sit in. Seasonal food, done beautifully, sourced locally, made with love and served with a generous helping of soul. And with a soundtrack that rocked. And that is what we did.
We’re all about making Henry Lees and the 16 Eveleigh St precinct a hub for creative thinking, happy-placing, business-meeting, caffeine-hitting and some darn good eatin’.
And just as we’re named for our hero Nick Cave and his long-term collaborator PJ Harvey, music and the emotions it produces plays a big part in our day to day to. Ask for our Spotify playlist if you’re digging it, too.
Our menu changes every three months – keeping food seasonal and fresh, and tasting as good as it looks – making sure everyone who comes through the door leaves with a desire to come back again and again.
Get down, get down little Henry Lee.
